Since TOTO is a thin circular flexible mat, it can fit into almost any purse, bag or pocket.

TAKE-OUT-TIME-OUT also provides for time management. For example, if cooking in the kitchen, the mat can be placed on the floor in the kitchen. Or, when working on the computer, put the mat where you are. It’s great! No need to be interrupted. Sometimes even just a show of the mat will stop unacceptable behavior. Children will immediately respond when they see you have “a plan”.

GUIDELINES:

When using the Take-Out-Time-Out Mat® and the "Time-Out" method:

• Explain to your child how "Time-Out" works.
• Discuss acceptable and unacceptable behavior with your child.
• Use Take-Out-Time-Out Mat® immediately following unacceptable behavior.
• Remain calm, cool and collected.
• Child should be given "Time-Out" equal in minutes to their age. (Ex 3 minutes for a 3 year old.)
• Afterwards, discuss acceptable behavior that should have been used.

REMEMBER:

• Praise a child for good behavior in tandem with the "Time-Out" method.
